Newbury Shoppers Raise Thousands for Hospice
Parkway Shopping & Newbury Bid were quick to praiseNewbury shoppers for helping them raise over £2,200 for Naomi House andJacksplace Hospice through their joint venture of a free Christmas Grottoinside Parkway Shopping Centre in December.
For the second year running, the grotto was free forfamilies & children to attend but encouraged donations to the localchildren’s hospice. This Christmas the grotto saw an estimated increase of 16%in visitors equating to over 1,500 families in total, and helped raise over£800 more than previous year.
Andy Marmott, Parkway’s Centre Manager stated “we feel it isreally important for Newbury to have a quality Father Christmas experienceinside the heart of the town. One that is accessible and affordable for all butdoes not compromise on quality or experience.
