Reporting to the Regional Manager, Store Manager and Assistant Manager you will be responsible for assisting in the effective running of the Newbury Animal store.
To assist in ensuring all agreed commercial KPI’s are met. These will cover: sales, stock control, staff cost, mystery shopper results and P&L costs etc. Be aware of your local market and competitors. Assist the Manager and Assistant Manager to ensure that the team consistently deliver excellent standards of customer service. Also ensuring that you and the team remain professional when dealing with customer complaints and/or queries and are aware of their responsibilities as Brand Ambassadors. Assist in proactively training and developing all existing staff and recruiting new staff members when required. Assist in ensuring that all aspects of the store’s operations are carried out according to the Company’s guidelines and manuals using the tools available. These include: Health & Safety, administration, maintenance, security, banking, stocktaking and housekeeping etc.
You will need around 2 years of retail experience in a similar environment, as well as knowledge of the Animal brand, our heritage and brand history. You will also possess a keen eye for detail and have a passion for visual merchandising and current trends.
